Proposition 8

I know, I know. Everyone is sick of politics. But I’m sick of Obama. I’m sick of him all over the media, on my Facebook page, on my TV, on every anything that you pull up. How do people want to vote for this guy? Some stupid, 47 year old guy who has two terms in the senate and is running for president. It makes me sick. He is more UN-American than escargot. I’ll be picking a war hero/moose-mom any day over that incompetent bag. What else is irritating me off is the amount of Mormons who are voting “NO” for Proposition 8. Yeah, you have the freedom to think and believe whatever you want-but come on. If you are Mormon-be a Mormon! I have friends that are gay, but sometimes you have to hold strong to what you believe. The Proclamation to the Family CLEARLY states that a marriage is between husband and wife. We have had that document now for over ten years, why is it so hard for people to understand? Are things that he is saying no longer applying to our young, liberal moron-I mean Mormon youth? On October 16, 2008 the first presidency came out with a message for the saints in California. “The Church’s teachings and position on this moral issue are unequivocal. Marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God, and the formation of families is central to the Creator’s plan for His children. Children are entitled to be born within this bond of marriage. We ask that you do all you can to support the proposed constitutional amendment by donating of your means and time to assure that marriage in California is legally defined as being between a man and a woman. Our best efforts are required to preserve the sacred institution of marriage.” That would be the prophet of God and his counselors speaking. If you’re voting NO and you are Mormon, I don’t want to hear your crap. I just have some simple questions for you to ask yourself.

• Do you have faith in and a testimony of God the Eternal Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost? Do you have a firm testimony of the restored gospel?

• Do you sustain the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the Prophet, Seer, and Revelator? Do you recognize him as the only person on earth authorized to exercise all priesthood keys?
• Do you strive to keep the covenants you have made and to keep your life in harmony with the laws and commandments of the gospel?
• Do you affiliate with any group or individual whose teachings or practices are contrary to or oppose those accepted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or do you sympathize with the precepts of any such group or individual?

Think about your answers. If you vote NO on Proposition 8 you are blatantly going against what is being taught by a prophet of God. Period.
