I have never been much of a runner. Twice a week I muster up enough gumption to go walking/jogging. Usually I go for how long I've run rather than distance. It's lot easier to "run" for 15 minutes, turn around and then just go right home and know I got my 30 minutes in. However, I've always wanted to run a marathon. I mentioned in an earlier post that I wanted to do a half marathon to get me started. Then Connie and Haley both offered to train with me and I almost wet my pants. They're real runners. Haley just did a half marathon, and Connie just did a marathon AND a 188 mile relay run! Which, by the way, you should read about here. It is pretty impressive. I got tired just watching the video.
I've decided that if I want to be like my marathon-inspiration Connie I'm going to have to start doing something more than 30 minutes here and there. I'm going to have to start seeing how many miles I go when I wog. Not that it's that interesting, but here we go. Progress posting will start this week. If I can figure out how far I am actually running. I think need a GPS.

Good luck with that training! Running is by far my worst thing to do.
You know 'snogging' is a sport too... and much more fun!!! I'm sure Jeff will support it :-)
LOVE this post! You can do it! You know, some of the peeps on my relay team were complete novice runners. It's just so fun and inspiring that they were able to do it and enjoy it. Tip: give yourself lot's of time to train and to feel in shape. It takes a while to get used to and it's easy to give up. But, the more you go, the easier it gets.
Where's Avon Pass at? It looks really pretty
