Fancy Shmancy

If you have little girls, or are just a little shmancy yourself, you've read these books. They're all about a little girl who loves fancy things. Super cute. In fact, they're so cute that my sister, her four girls, myself, my best friend's Mom, her daughter AND her husband all got in line to get the books signed. I don't normally do this. (In fact, I've never done this. I did one time happen to walk into a book store when an author was doing signings (someone my brother liked) so I bought a book and had him sign it. I forgot who it was, and I felt super bad for the guy because no one was there. I don't think it was well advertised.) We decided to make it a fun night.

If you were going to meet the author and illustrator of Fancy Nancy, what would you wear? Your most fancy outfit, of course!!!! I'll bet between all of us we had 2 million sequins.And they loved our outfits, of course (and I loved theirs). When the fancy famous ladies saw us they exclaimed, "Texas women really know how to dress!" and "Oh my gosh, look at her tights!" They were being nice-most people who saw my tights (including Jeff) were thinking I looked like a hook-I mean, "Lady of the Night." It was supposed to say, "Stay Fancy!" .... but I guess I can take, "To Anna" instead. But the best part of my day? Getting my "The Pioneer Woman Cooks" cook book in the mail! Guess what line I'll be standing in on Saturday!
